AMA Toronto is back with the 6th year of Career Accelerator, The Mentorship program designed for young advertising and marketing professionals in Canada. The program, recently featured by Narcity Media, boasts over 30 incredible mentors from across several industries and representing some of the top ad and media agencies in the country.

On March 1st, Program Director Maggie Bolt hosted a Q&A session with Craig Lund, VP Leadership Excellence at AMA Toronto to answer questions about why this program can truly escalate your career prospects.

People who sign up can expect to get support building several skills including: How to build a network, relationship management, having difficult conversations, navigating the marketing & communications landscape, and of course how to leverage a professional association to benefit your career.

Who are the Mentors?

The majority of our mentors are graduates of our Senior Mentoring program Mentor Exchange. These folks have firsthand experience leveraging a mentor, and they love being able to share their leadership experience with the next generation of Leaders. Are there any requirements for applicants?

This program is best suited for you if you are:

• At least 1 year into a career in the Marketing, Advertising & Communications industry
• 24-30 years of age
• Career focused and driven to achieve professional success. 
• Consider yourself to be an aspiring future leader.

Did you Know: You can write off the cost of this program in your annual income taxes under “Union Dues and Associations Memberships”

How do I sign up?

Please click on the “Tickets” button for this program, contained within this page. Provide your name, contact information, link to your LinkedIn profile, and a short 2 paragraph (5 – 8 sentences MAX) description about yourself and why you would like to join the Career Accelerator Program.

Also, please mention any specific industry interests or companies so we may take this into account in the matching process.

Seneca DEI & Young Professionals Award

AMA Toronto is pleased to welcome Seneca School of Marketing and Media as a strategic partner and DEI & Young Professionals Leader Sponsor for 2023. This initiative will further support the development and empowering leadership potential of young professionals from diverse backgrounds in our community. Under this program, deserving candidates for our Career Accelerator mentorship will get “scholarships” for free access to the program. AMA will also provide coaching on networking and opportunities for young professionals to develop their networks to succeed.
