James Donnelly is Senior Vice President, Crisis Management with broad experience in issues/crisis management, crisis training, communications training, and global corporate communications. A founding member of the agency’s Issues & Crisis Specialty Team, James leads programs that include: threat assessments, capability building, trainings, testing exercises, strategic counsel and response support.

James’ counseling expertise spans a wide variety of challenges, including: aircraft incidents, alcohol responsibility, animal welfare, banking/commerce issues, change management, consumer health/safety, corporate governance, employee health/welfare, environmental stewardship, event preparedness, technology failures, telecommunications issues and tragic events.

In 20+ years at Ketchum, James has supported some of the world’s most respected brands and corporations, including: Absolut, Anthem, Bank of America, Belk, Best Buy, Bridgestone-Firestone, Hyundai, IKEA, Jim Beam, Kellogg’s, and Visa.

James is a guest lecturer at UNC Charlotte and Boston University, among others. An avid golfer, James has twice played 100 holes in one day to support an awareness and charity drive for a Charlotte-based domestic violence program, Safe Alliance.
