How Might We: make the TIFF Bell Lightbox an always-on community destination?

We are excited to invite you to the relaunch of our Design Thinking Toronto monthly meetups starting with our first on Saturday, October 1st. Beyond introducing you to design thinking, we are bringing in Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) to present you with a real-world design challenge that you will have the opportunity to explore and design real-world solutions for. You can expect a fun, engaging and impactful session to test out new ideas and connect with like-minded people.

OPPORTUNITY:

The Toronto International Film Festival, known originally as “The Festival of Festivals”, was founded in 1976. Since then, TIFF has evolved into to a global brand and charitable cultural organization with a mission to transform the way people see the world through film.

To achieve the mission, TIFF opened a new headquarters called TIFF Bell Lightbox at the intersection of King St and John Street. This building is a cultural hub that offers year-round programming, five cinemas showing new releases, free screenings, a film reference library, exhibitions and unique fund raising events. Now that TIFF has settled into the building, there is a great opportunity to re-imagine the “accessible” spaces as a destination the local community and visitors to come explore, play and meet-up.

We want them to say “Meet me at TIFF Bell Lightbox”.

So HOW MIGHT WE make the TIFF Bell Lightbox an always-on community destination?
