This role reports to the Director of Marketing Strategy and PR, and is primarily responsible for building overall brand awareness and driving product consideration and adoption. The role will manage a B2B/B2C brand marketing program across the organization.  Furthermore, the role will also be tasked to manage the day-to-day communications function working closely with our vendors in order to support public relations objectives.  


Main Activities:

  • Lead the overall brand awareness and advertising platform, across all marketing media, working with various stakeholders such as advertising and media agency partners, PR agency, sales, legal, product, operations, finance, etc.
  • Working closely with the marketing team, track and execute the substantial brand marketing budget (and associated projects) flawlessly
  • Elevate the brand and product offerings across all consumer and broker channel touch points, and work closely with the Analytics and Acquisition leads to lower overall cost per acquisition and increase customer base
  • Work closely with the Senior Management team across all business units to plan and roll out engaging marketing tactics across a diverse traditional and non-traditional media mix to achieves awareness, consideration and sales targets for Bank products and services
  • Build marketing plans that support new product and service launches across the entire business, while being able to manage all projects and ensure they are delivered on time and on budget
  • Understand and collaborate on analytics implementation in order to constantly optimize program performance and be able to communicate marketing ROI for each program
  • Work closely with the Director, Marketing Strategy and PR to make recommendations about media,  influencer strategies and key messaging across different business units and products
  • Work closely with our PR agency and internal stakeholders to plan and execute media opportunities
  • Build and execute innovative marketing strategies that will grow all brands across the organization, including consumer/broker awareness and the overall customer base over both the short and long term
  • Lead and collaborate with business units on customer awareness strategies that connect with the consumer and are scalable
  • Build and develop key partnerships, sponsorships and other alternative/non-traditional tactics that will support brand definition, awareness and engagement
  • Keep up-to-date with marketing, digital and earned media trends that can be shared with the team and help inspire creative/alternative solutions
  • Achieve targets as it relates to pre-defined key performance indicators (traffic, engagement, earned media mentions/impressions, response rates and number of customers)


Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

  • University education in Marketing, Commerce, Business or related experience
  • 8+ years of experience in a client-side or leading agency environment, developing brand strategies, planning and implementing class-leading integrated consumer/broker marketing and acquisition programs that ultimately drive sales for the organization
  • Deep portfolio of hands-on experience building great brands and developing awareness/acquisition/loyalty programs across various channels and media
  • Ability to lead a team of cross-functional internal and external teams
  • Strong knowledge and experience with tracking and quantifying marketing performance across all consumer touch points
  • Strong experience working on integrated campaigns that have a public relations component and a deep earned media strategy
  • A proactive leader who enjoys collaborating with others to develop new creative ideas, execute and operationalize these ideas flawlessly
  • Excellent time management, budget management, vendor management and organizational skills
  • Strives under pressure and enjoys working towards ambitious targets
  • Strong attention to detail and never satisfied with the status quo
  • Ability to present marketing strategy, details and results to senior leaders on the team
  • Good understanding of consumer journey, usability and conversion optimization across all marketing channels
  • Strong experience managing marketing campaigns from strategy to post-launch
  • Experience in brand management would be an asset
  • Experience across both B2C and B2B marketing would be an asset
