Our client is looking for a Digital Content Specialist who oversees the planning, web design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the corporate website(s) and digital marketing campaigns including the development and implementation of mobile platforms, social media campaigns and other demand generation communication programs.  The Digital Content Specialist will create original content for both online and offline distribution.  With a solid understanding of the digital landscape and functionality, this individual will build and nurture contacts and have a track record for creating, executing and tracking successful digital campaigns.  With a goal to provide our distributor partners and manufacturer rep sales force with quality content, increase brand awareness and preference, generate qualified leads, improve customer service and deepen customer engagement, the Digital Content Specialist must have the ability to pursue projects from conception to completion and possess the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.  The Digital Content Specialist must also possess strong time and project management skills along with the ability to communicate clearly regarding priorities and goals.  This position also requires the ability to manage and influence relationships within the marketing department, with external partners and customers as well as cross-functionally within the organization.

Job Summary:

  • Creates long-term roadmap for all digital assets including, but not limited to, corporate website(s), mobile platforms, and digital templates.
  • Participate in the strategy, development, execution and optimization of web, social media and mobile applications while adhering to brand standards.
  • Analyze customer behavior to improve digital marketing programs.
  • Conduct landing page and email campaign tests.
  • Manage email marketing programs, including lists, imports and permissions.
  • Conceive, write and deliver compelling, keyword-rich content for a range of mediums, online, digital, social, mobile and print.
  • Process complex technical information into compelling, readable content that produces high response rates.
  • Own the content creation and optimization process from end-to-end including initial concept, strategy, research, approvals, fact-checking, keywords, editing and final proofing.
  • Develop visually appealing templates to enhance the presentation of content.
  • Work within the corporate website(s) CMS to update, manage and improve the content, usability and overall effectiveness utilizing best practices in navigation and user interface design.
  • Monitor and evaluate statistics for each campaign to provide updates on the effectiveness of web strategies and other digital campaigns.
  • Develop innovative digital strategies within a prescribed budget.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation and ongoing maintenance of corporate iPhone and Android apps.
  • Ensure accuracy of content (information and branding) for all digital content.
  • Provide brand consistent, skillfully written and well produced digital content that supports corporate objectives.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant marketing role with digital marketing experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience writing web content and experience in inbound marketing, on-line business writing, SEM and SEO best practices and techniques.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience related to PPC, Google Adwords, and Google Analytics.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in email campaign management from strategy to execution.
  • Ability to work with WordPress or similar WYSIWYG website CMS, HTML and CSS with a reasonable efficiency.
  • Ability to write content in a variety of styles, voices and tones, adaptable to different target audiences, product categories and branding initiatives.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Excellent literacy, writing, grammar, editing and proofing skills.
  • Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, focus and influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work positively/effectively across and organization and with customers/external support resources.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to utilize metrics to track performance against goals.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook), Adobe Suite and CRM tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
