BMA Carolinas Presents “The Power of Storytelling”

The Power of Storytelling

by Business Marketing Association – Carolinas

Nothing connects humans like stories. Stories create meaning, cut through complexity, and make content persuasive. That’s why one of our oldest tools to communicate is one of the most powerful we have for building brands. Where facts alone fail, stories are shared. In this talk we’ll look at why, and how, timeless storytelling techniques can help get your organization’s messages heard.

Jonathan Opp is Partner + Chief Poetics Officer at New Kind, where he helps brands discover and share their stories. He began his career at Gateway and IBM before joining Red Hat, where he spent more than a decade building the company’s brand voice.

Jonathan regularly leads storytelling workshops around the country for both organizations and for the American Marketing Association. He is a past president of AIGA Raleigh, the professional association for design, and is currently the host of the Raleigh chapter of CreativeMornings.
